As increasing amounts of contaminating non-malignant cells lead to a significant decrease in detection sensitivity (Kallioniemi et al, 1994), we used individual micro-dissected breast cancer cells to examine the LASP1 copy number in DNA samples from 64 patients with known invasive breast carcinoma selected randomly from January 2000 to December 2007. This evidence concerns the gene LASP1 and invasive breast carcinoma.
