In the studies of Estrada et al. and Eguchi et al. it was found that BNP levels increased in the acute phase of stroke and that there was a positive correlation between blood pressure levels and BNP levels.[28, 29] In the another study, on patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage, it was estimated that plasma BNP levels in patients with HT were higher than that in patients without HT.[30] In our study we found that plasma BNP levels in stroke patients with HT was higher than in stroke patients who did not have HT. Here, NPPB is linked to stroke disorder.
