Prior to co-immunoprecipitation experiments with Par-4 antibody, empty vector-transfected cells displayed a prominent p65 signal in the nucleus, whereas Par-4 overexpression clearly reduced this signal in the nucleus (Figure 5C, p65), suggesting that Par-4 overexpression blocks nuclear translocation of NFκB in colon cancer cells. The gene discussed is PAWR; the disease is colonic neoplasm.
