In patients with aSAH, there were no differences in IGF-I or GH concentrations between the patients with respect to aneurysm location (anterior communicating artery versus others), treatment modality (clip vs. coil), Hunt-Hess grades (I to III versus IV to V), Fisher grade (I to II versus III to IV), Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) (less than 8 or more than 8), symptomatic vasospasm and/or need for norepinephrine (n = 9), or hydrocephalus on admission.
