Among these genes are MAX (MYC associated factor X), HIST2H2BE (histone 2, H2be), HIST2H2AA (histone 2, H2aa), HIST1H2BG (histone 1, H2bg) and TNFRSF1A (tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, member 1A) which were increasingly expressed with the evolution of RA from normal bone marrow and with progression from RA to more advanced stages of MDS (Fig. 3). The gene discussed is H2BC8; the disease is myelodysplastic syndrome.
