Canzian et al. [25] studied three SNPs within exon 2 of IGFALS in regards to breast cancer risk, two of which are included in the IGFALS haplotype of our study (rs3751893, rs17559), and found that homozygous carriers of SNP rs3751893 were associated with reduced circulating levels of IGF1. This evidence concerns the gene IGFALS and breast cancer.
