High miR-199a expression leads to inhibition of IKKbeta, and these authors showed that IKKbeta is a major factor promoting a functional TLR-MyD88-NF-kappaB pathway, which is associated with the capacity to constitutively secrete proinflammatory/protumor cytokines in ovarian cancer, whereby promoting tumor progression and chemoresistance. This evidence concerns the gene IKBKB and neoplasm.
