In addition, we examined microarray expression analysis data of a large number of clinical samples derived from Japanese subjects and found that KDM5B expression was also significantly up-regulated in acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), breast cancer, chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), cervical cancer and renal cell carcinoma (RCC) compared with corresponding non-neoplastic tissues, indicating its possible involvement in many types of human cancer (see Additional files 4 and 5). Here, KDM5B is linked to hereditary clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
