Recently, we, along with others, have shown that the p65 subunit of the nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) transcription factor seems to have a role in the development of prostate cancer and in its progression to an advanced disease (Lessard et al, 2003, 2006; Ismail et al, 2004; Shukla et al, 2004). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and prostate carcinoma.
