Nine (CIDE-A, COMP, DBC1, EMILIN2, EPSTI1, FBLN2, SALL1, SESN3, SIM2) of these genes (56%) demonstrated frequent methylation in primary breast tumours (frequency ranging from 26-63%) (Figure 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). The gene discussed is SIM2; the disease is breast neoplasm.
