A recent large-scale genome-wide study to identify genes methylated in adult ALL employing different high throughput approaches (MCA/RDA and MCA/array) validated 15 genes as showing frequent methylation in ALL (GIPC2, RSPO1, MAGI1, CAST1, ADCY5, HSPA4L, OCLN, EFNA5, MSX2, GFPT2, GNA14, SALL1, MYO5B, ZNF382, MN1) [17]. This evidence concerns the gene MYO5B and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
