Most of the reported cases presented with acute symptoms of hypocalcemia with or without tetania, resulting from the adenomaâ€TMs necrosis and the incompetence of the remaining parathyroid glands to produce the necessary amount of PTH or hypercalcemia due to excessive PTH release, followed by a period of normocalcemia at first and finally recurrence of the disease. Here, PTH is linked to hypercalcemia disease.
