Our data indicate that induction of autophagy in response to THC treatment relies on the eIF2α phosphorylation-dependent upregulation of the transcription factors p8, ATF-4, and CHOP as well as of the pseudokinase TRB3 (four genes that had been previously identified as essential mediators of THC action in cancer cells [122, 123]).
