TGFB1 and gastric carcinoma: Although there are several reports of molecular target therapies against TGF-β signalling from the viewpoint of adhesion (Kano et al, 2007; Kawajiri et al, 2008), proliferation (Tateishi et al, 2000; Komuro et al, 2009), or angiogenesis (Kano et al, 2007; Kawajiri et al, 2008) in scirrhous gastric carcinoma, the effectiveness of TGF-β signalling inhibitor on invasion and migration has not been proposed in this type of carcinoma.
