We then focused on three genes; Myristoylated alanine-rich protein kinase C substrate (MARCKS) [46]–[48], Phospholipase C beta 4 (PLCB4) [49] and Synaptotagmin 1 (SYT1) [50], because an accumulating number of reports point to the involvement of impaired neural transmission in the schizophrenia pathology.
