ESR1 and neoplasm: Regarding the role of methylation in normal appearing colonic mucosa, Konishi et al. recently evaluated the methylation status of several genes (MINT1, MINT2, MINT31, MLH1, p14, p16, MGMT, and ESR1) in the tumor-adjacent normal mucosa from patients with multiple and solitary tumors, and found no significant differences between both groups [31].
