The proportion of tumors exhibiting gene promoter hypermethylation was significantly higher in patients with multiple lesions than in those with solitary CRC with respect to MGMT2 (40.4% vs. 14.6%, respectively; p = 0.009) and RASSF1A (17.0% vs. 0%, respectively; p = 0.006) (Table 3). Here, RASSF1 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
