CEACAM6 expression has already been inversely correlated with cellular differentiation and has been identified as a marker for decreased survival in patients with CEACAM6 expressing cancers.[35], [37], [38] In a series of experiments, Duxbury and associates have demonstrated that CEACAM6 over-expression in pancreatic cancer is a determinant of cell proliferation and cell invasiveness[39]. Here, CEACAM6 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
