We then analysed the association between increased levels of IFN-γ, IL-6 and IL-8 with parameters indicative of cell damage, thrombocytopenia, a correlate of platelet destruction, increased hematocrit values, pleural effusion/ascites, indicative of endothelial cell dysfunction and raised AST/ALT, suggestive of liver damage. Here, IFNG is linked to Thrombocytopenia.
