It has been suggested that NRP1 predominantly expresses in carcinoma cell lines (epithelial origin), including carcinomas of lung, breast, prostate, pancreas, and colon, whereas NRP2 is frequently present in non-carcinoma cell lines derived from melanoma, leukaemia, and neuroblastoma (Bielenberg et al, 2006).
