In sum, our data show for the first time that a novel, 20-amino-acid peptide derived from the β chain of human Fgn, has a unique ability to inhibit the angiogenic responses of ECs to multiple GFs such as VEGF, FGF2, PDGF and HGF in vitro, and to inhibit tumour vascularisation in vivo. This evidence concerns the gene HGF and neoplasm.
