Emx2OS expression has been studied by in situ hybridisation in the uro-genital system: like Emx2-mRNA, Emx2OS-ncRNA is abundant in normal postmenopausal endometrium, reduced in premenopausal endometrium, absent/reduced in many primary endometrial tumors [17].
