A systematic review and meta-analysis of 9 clinical trials that included 3493 RA patients treated with the anti-TNF-alpha antibodies, inflxumab or adalimumab, found a dose-related increase in malignancies compared with the control groups with a pooled odds ratio of 3.3 (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.2-9.1) [4]. Here, TNF is linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
