CXCL8 and inclusion conjunctivitis: The haplotype AFP+8865G/AFM+1666A,/AFM+4530A/AFM+15790T/IL8-251A/IL8+396T/IL8+37674T/IL8+39739A/IL8+40050C, or GAATATTAC, was associated with increased risk of scarring trachoma, at borderline of statistical significance, and the haplotype AGGTATTAC was associated with significant protection from disease (table 2).
