Since we have reported that the PI3K-dependent activation of PLCγ1 is a key event in migration of breast cancer cells [29] and PLCγ1 is necessary for breast cancer migration and invasion [30], we investigated whether this novel PI3K/PLCγ1 pathway was involved in the FGF-2-dependent migration of HUVEC. The gene discussed is PLCG1; the disease is breast cancer.
