These results are consistent with the previous findings that low levels of IgG3 may lead to the onset of complicated malaria while high IgG3 antibody levels may protect against malaria [25,26] and with the demonstration on the induction of CD40L stimulated naïve B cells by IL4 alone or in combination with IL10 to express IgG1, IgG2 and IgG3, but little IgG4 [27].
