A search of publicly available similar studies using the Oncomine database (http://www.oncomine.org) similarly showed that loss of CCBE1 expression in ovarian carcinoma as compared with normal ovarian surface epithelium (NOSE), the proposed site of origin of ovarian carcinomas, was evident in a study performed by Lu et al (2004). The gene discussed is CCBE1; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
