A HF diet modestly increased hepatic expression of ppar-α and cpt-1a in the WT mice (p < 0.05 and 0.01 for ppar-α and cpt-1a respectively, Table 2), but the HF diet had no effects on ppar-α and cpt-1a expression in the KO mice (p = 0.98 and 1.0 for ppar-α and cpt-1a respectively, Table 2), suggesting that expression of Igf2 was required for the HF diet induced up-regulation of expression of ppar-α and cpt-1a. This evidence concerns the gene CPT1A and hydrops fetalis.
