Obesity, however, revealed a significant main effect of time and a time*treatment*gender interaction (P = 0.04) upon insulin sensitivity (Figure 1); both the glucose and insulin response curves were significantly greater relative to when lean (Figure 1), but the peak plasma insulin achieved was significantly greater in male LEL relative to both CE and LEE males (Figure 2).
