In conclusion, results of this study suggest that hypercholesterolemic atherosclerosis is associated with an increase in oxidative stress in coronary arteries and that apple juice is effective in reducing hypercholesterolemic atherosclerosis by lowering levels of fibrinogen, VII, CRP, TC, TG, LDL-C and raising levels of nitrite, nitrate and HDL-C. The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is atherosclerosis.
