These transcription factors could participate in carcinogenesis synergistically, because c-Myc increases induction of E2-F1 in mouse tumor cells (Liao et al. 2000; Benaud et al. 2001), and E2-F1 increases expression of c-Myc mouse liver carcinoma (Conner et al. 2000).
