Ki-67 expression in >40% of the tumour cells was significantly associated with improved RFS (P=0.001) and CSS (P=0.001) in patients with colon cancer stages II and III (Figure 4, panel A), but not in rectal cancer (Figure 4, panel B, P=0.98 for RFS, P=0.96 for CSS). This evidence concerns the gene MKI67 and colonic neoplasm.
