Overexpression of EZH2 protein has been shown in several carcinomas, and has been associated with increased tumour cell proliferation and worse outcome in breast cancer (Collett et al, 2006), melanomas, endometrial carcinomas (Bachmann et al, 2006), and also in hormone-refractory prostate cancer (Bryant et al, 2007). This evidence concerns the gene EZH2 and breast carcinoma.
