However, none of the four Mcl-1-specific siRNAs from their library were able to sensitize cancer cells to ABT-737 induced cytotoxicity, whereas the top candidate siRNAs from their screen, specific for FGFR2, TNFRSF13B, and PRDM13, were able to inhibit Mcl-1 gene expression through partial complementarity of the siRNAs to the 3′ untranslated region of Mcl-1.
