GZMB and asthma: They have demonstrated the main cells expressing GR-β (Glucocorticoid receptor-β) to be CD3+ T lymphocytes; and, to a lesser extent, eosinophils, neutrophils and macrophages.[16] Those results suggest that the increased number of GR-β (Glucocorticoid receptor-β) -positive cells in the distal airways of patients with fatal asthma may be associated with steroid resistance, contributing to asthma mortality.
