Several studies have identified overexpression of S100A6 in pancreatic cancer (Crnogorac-Jurcevic et al, 2003; Logsdon et al, 2003; Shekouh et al, 2003), in PanIN lesions (Vimalachandran et al, 2005) and in intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (Ohuchida et al, 2007b). Here, S100A6 is linked to pancreatic neoplasm.
