To verify MGP overexpression on protein levels we performed immunohistochemistry using both frozen and paraffin sections, which showed distinct staining for MGP in tumor cells of all glioblastomas examined (n = 10) (Figure 2a and 2b), while cells of normal autopsy brains were negative or only faintly positive (Figure 2c). The gene discussed is MGP; the disease is glioblastoma.
