Analysis of Hsp-27 expression according to Gleason score: The independent prognostic significance of Hsp-27 cytoplasmic positivity for prostate cancer survival in a multivariate model was maintained in prostate cancers with Gleason score >7 (Δχ2(1df)=7.08, P=0.03 for prostate cancer survival), but not in prostate cancers with Gleason score 7 (Δχ2(1df)=0.43, P=0.50) or in prostate cancers with Gleason score <7 (Δχ2(1df)=0.11, P=0.75), as shown schematically in Figure 4. This evidence concerns the gene HSPB1 and Familial prostate cancer.
