COMT and Obesity: We found an association between COMT 24938A/G and fat-BMI, and borderline with waist circumference, which is in accordance with the suggested role of COMT polymorphisms in obesity [24], [27], [48] and in line with results from a recently published population-based study showing an association between COMT 24938A/G and body fat distribution measured as waist-hip ratio [48].
