In the intraductal proliferative lesions, NUCKS was expressed in 13/16 (81%) cases of usual ductal hyperplasia (UDH), in 6/6 (100%) cases of atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH) and in 15/16 (94%) cases of DCIS, exhibiting intense staining in the majority of ADH and DCIS (83% and 82% of the cases respectively stained with a score of +2/+3) (Table 1, Figures 1D, 2A). This evidence concerns the gene NUCKS1 and ductal breast carcinoma in situ.
