Previous studies comparing blood from MS patients and healthy individuals have reported elevations of Th1-type chemokine receptor CXCR3 and CCR5 expression and reductions in the expression of Th2-type chemokine receptors CCR4 and CCR3 in patients with MS [Misu et al. 2001; Nakajima et al. 2004; Sorensen et al. 1999]. This evidence concerns the gene CXCR3 and myeloid sarcoma.
