Unexpectedly, CCL2 concentrations in CSF from MS patients after relapse are reduced when concentrations of other inflammatory chemokines such as CCL1, CCL5 and CXCL10 are increased [Bartosik-Psujek and Stelmasiak, 2005; Mahad et al. 2002; Nakajima et al. 2004a; Sorensen et al. 1999, 2001]. This evidence concerns the gene CCL2 and myeloid sarcoma.
