The renal antigen 1 (RAGE-1) (Gaugler et al. 1996) was also found to segregate with the less differentiated forms of AML as dictated by FAB subgroup but not by WHO subgroup, suggesting that both RAGE-1 and MGEA6 could be targeted, by immunotherapy, to the less differentiated forms of AML as indicated by FAB subtype.
