In men with a T/T genotype in ESR1 Ex1+392T>C, A/A genotype in ESR1 Ex8+229G>A, and A/G or G/G genotype in ESR2 5696 bp 3′ of STP A>G (Table 4), high phytoestrogen group had a 58% (P = 0.048), 64% (P = 0.047) and 80% (P = 0.034) lower risk of developing prostate cancer, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene ESR1 and prostate cancer.
