Peak CRP predicted a worse outcome also after multivariate adjustment for age, sex, diabetes, smoking status, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, baseline glomerular filtration rate, troponin T, platelet aggregation, high residual platelet reactivity, intervention with CABG or PCI with a hazard ratio of 2.0 (95% CI 1.1–3.7) (Figure 2).
