Interestingly when grouped together, infants with vascular-related morbidities (e.g., bronchopulmonary dysplasia, retinopathy of prematurity, intraventricular hemorrhage and skin hemangioma) have shown a trend towards higher Tie2 RNA levels but due to the small sample size we could not achieve statistical differences. This evidence concerns the gene TEK and Intraventricular hemorrhage.
