Both Oxam and TSA led to increased surface expression of TRAIL-R1 and TRAIL-R2, increased caspase 8 and caspase 3 activation, a loss of MMP, and changes in mRNA levels for key pro- and antiapoptotic regulators, all of which combined to sensitize B-CLL cells to TRAIL-induced apoptosis. Here, CASP3 is linked to B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
