We selected six DNA targets commonly amplified in lung cancer [12], [14], [15], [24], [25] including two centromeric probes (CEP3 and CEP6) and four probes to areas of frequent genomic amplification, i.e. 3q28 (TP63) [11], [13], 5p15.2 (D523 and D5S721 markers) [26], 8q24 (MYC) [27], and 7p12 (EGFR) [28]. This evidence concerns the gene CDC42EP3 and lung carcinoma.
