In contrast, significantly lower expression of SAA was detected in Epstein–Barr transformed B cells (LCL) and cervical cancer cell lines (CVX) used as controls (i.e., 65–71% positive cells; mean fluorescence intensity range from 11 to 20 and 69–84% positive cells; mean fluorescence intensity range from 9 to 15, respectively) by flow cytometry (P=0.03 for both USPC vs LCL and USPC vs CVX, Table 1).
