CD4 and infection: The CD4 slope displayed highly significant correlation with the date of confirmed infection (Spearman's rank correlation test: rho = −0.16, p<0.001; unadjusted effect: −1.7 cells/μL/year/year, 95% CI: −2.3–−1.1), in the direction of steeper CD4 slopes over the time span of the cohort.
