In this study, our result in HEK293 cells is consistent with the findings that in human breast carcinoma cells overexpression of ZNF191 results in a significant down-regulation of VEGF, whereas silencing of ZNF191 with small interfering RNA leads to increased VEGF expression as well as the same inverse correlation between ZNF191 and VEGF observed in malignant tissues from human colon and breast biopsies [36]. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and breast carcinoma.
