Conversely, tetramer-specific CD8 T-cells from TB patients contained higher proportions of cells with an effector memory-like (15% in TB patients versus 5% in LTBI subjects) and a central memory-like (10% in TB patients versus 3% in LTBI subjects) phenotype; however, also the frequencies of these two memory subsets did not change significantly before and after therapy. Here, CD8A is linked to tuberculosis.
