CXCL8 and neoplasm: CXCL-8, a member of the CXC chemokine family, has been reported to induce migration, stimulate angiogenesis and promote tumour cell growth in melanoma and other malignancies (Matsushima and Oppenheim, 1989; Wang et al, 1990; Koch et al, 1992; Schadendorf et al, 1993; Youngs et al, 1997; Miyamoto et al, 1998; Bar-Eli, 1999; Singh and Varney, 2000; Li et al, 2002).
